No! I just get really hungry after working so hard. [ wink wink wink. he steps in, setting down the bag of food at the kotatsu and placeing his bookbag down on the floor.]
Do you know classical Japanese? That's what I'm having the most trouble with.
[he easily holds her up with his own strength despite being a little shaky himself. tetsutetsu is mostly just kinda proud of his manly confidence in kissing a cute girl. every little bit about the kiss was great in his eyes. his flashes off his chompers with the huge grin growing on his face.]
Not bad yourself, Catbutt. [her nicknames gonna change a lot... get used to it hitoshi. the steel man isn't really sure what else he's supposed to do after kissing a girl so he kinda just.
smooches the top of her head while he holds her to his chest and gives hitoshi a tight squeeze.]
Catbutt... [she mutters into his chest, unable to hold back a giddy grin so the best she can do is hide it by smothering her face against him.] That's so dumb.
[but she can't even pretend to sound seriously insulted and instead just wraps her arms around his neck. being like this... she didn't want him to let go. she felt safe like this. her fingers brush the back of his neck, twirling some locks of his hair around her index finger.]
I'm still not letting you change Ume's name though.
[After making sure no one was watching, Monoma slips into Shinsou's dormitory. Silently, he makes his way to his room. He doesn't want anyone to find out he's been associating with people outside of the heroics course because he's kind of a weenie like that. Actually it was more of trying to avoid any rumors that he was taking up bootycalls.
For like, the billionth time Bee's characters knock on Shinsou's door...]
[ what is it with kirishima and rescue missions? bakugou doesn't know a lot about this one, and there's only so much he can find out despite his best efforts, and he puts in a hell of a lot of effort. but apparently it's top secret and only a select team of pros even participated. if there was any doubt bakugou interned under the wrong person, it's this.
he'd be even more pissed off about it than he is, but concern for kirishima beats out even his natural inclination to be pissed off. and that annoys him even more.
during hospital visiting hours when kirishima might be mobbed with friends and concerned classmates, bakugou gently or rather not-very-subtly hints they should leave so he could... be frustrated with how beat up kirishima looks, without other people being irritating in the general vicinity. ]
You look like shit.
[ ... he can't express concern like a normal human being at all. ]
[in a way, kirishima understands that bakugou is just being concerned in his own special way. he knows this, and takes zero offense to being told he looked like shit. mostly because it was true.
his red hair was down, plastered all over his forehead. it didn't help that sweat also dotted his brows in between strands of hair. his appearance most certainly wasn't helped by the iv in his arm and the heavy bandages decorating his body. and even though they were obviously freshly redone to receive visitors for the first time, some fresh blood seeped through in the chest.
but despite all this, kirishima manages to smile, trying to hide the pain behind his beautiful chompers.]
Hey.
[he tries to pull himself up, struggling as he pulled on the bed rails until he was sitting upwards. only then did he bother to find the remote to adjust the bed into a sitting bed. it's the first visitor he's been able to consciously receive outside of the various pro heroes and police personnel who questioned him or offered praise in regards to the rescue mission. kirishima wanted to sit up, he wanted his friend to see that he was ok even if he was not quite physically there yet.]
[ he looks like shit to the point that it almost hurts, just looking at him. his palms itch. he wants to--blow something up, make someone pay, but--
the mission's over, he couldn't do that. in the first place, the fact that he hadn't even been a part of the mission and kirishima had almost spoke volumes as to the difference between them now. he'd failed the license test. kirishima hadn't. and he'd been a part of the rescue, and as much as he'd been beat up in it, he'd come through.
but bakugou just scowls when kirishima tries to adjust the bed, because he has almost no idea how to be a decent person let alone decent visitor. ] Oi, bastard, don't push yourself. Let me do it, damn.
Anyway, of course I'm here. What kind of-- [ what kind of friend would he be... but he can't say the 'f' word if it's not 'fuck'. he can't say 'friend' because he sucks. ] What kind of asshole would I be if I didn't visit you? [ ... he angrily adjusts the bed for kirishima, like an idiot. ]
[he snorts, one hand reaching around and gently touching alex's shoulder opposite of him. it's his own way of comforting her because on some level nic does care about alex and worick. he just has funny ways of showing it and even rarer moments like these.
he even leans in, waving his free hand to get her attention again.]
[ people say a lot of things about them, about nic especially. and while at first she might have been inclined to heed some of those warnings, she doesn't now. nic has always been kind in his own way, even if he doesn't show it very often, and in the quiet moments like these they mean a little more.
she uncurls a little from her spot, one knee bumping lightly against his. ]
